BridgeBuilding

A light bridge installation made of bamboo bars and steel cables. The bridge pier goes back to a construction made by the visionary architect, designer and inventor Buckminster Fuller (1895 – 1983). The pier is connected to the bridge which is held together by bars – a principle that was developed by Leonardo da Vinci (1452 – 1519) used for bridge construction. Because Leonardo was not only a painter but an imaginative draughtsman.

Sabine (*1956) and Christian (*1951) Egelhaaf live and work both in Mustin, Ratzeburg, Germany.
