The ZHdK plant laboratory is used for artistic and scientific research and is open to student projects. As part of the SNSF research project trees: Making ecophysiological processes audible the treelab has been developed, and is set up and available for all sorts of (exceptionally also external) inquiries: from research into plant noises or plant physiological measurements, video timelapse experiments to graphic studies, fashion photos with a plant backdrop or simply a session in the jungle ambience, everything is possible. The treelab houses tropical plants: avocado, papaya, tamarind, cashew nuts – there are currently 74 plants and more than 50 species of different sizes.
